Good Job, valley
Over 12% of your body weight is significant. Did your doctor say anything about what to eat (or not eat) in addition to how much? I'm sure everyone has bombarded you with suggestions and advice, but for me personally, I've been able to maintain a pretty healthy weight by basically doing these things:
1 Drink lots of water
2 avoid salt
3 eat lots of fresh fruit and vegetables
4 avoid refined sugar
5 avoid processed or packaged food and/or fast food
